Sex testing in Beijing

Postby ponytayne » Tue Jul 29, 2008 8:50 am

I haven't seen a thread on this, but there is a story linked on front page about this: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/ ... 419301.ece

What do we all think about this. I know there have been some cheats in the past, but how common has this been? What determines who gets tested? WHO determines it? Does a formal protest have to be filed, or is some old man watching the competition thinking "she looks manly, let's test her"?

i'm sure we've gone down this road before, with the case of that poor woman, santhi sundarajan. i hope she's doing ok (the last i heard, she tried to commit suicide).
