It is testimony to just how pathetic the current administration has been that the Dems were able to run a black man against a woman, either one of which should have a fairly easy time against the Rep candidate.

(3) Bob Barr (Libertarian)

(4) George W. Bush (National "emergency" preempts election)

But, I thought those options would be silly.

I believe one of the papers produced by that right wing think tank Cheney is on the board of was about scenarios where a sitting president could indefinitely delay handing over the reins in a crisis.

...same think tank that wrote the paper on an American Empire in the Middle East that started with Iraq and then Iran.
