The wheels churning in the rumour mill has been more camps, more athletes, more trainers, more managers and more agents involved than believed. Doesn:t stop with HSI, but further discussion about who/what/where does, as to not create innuendo for parties possibly not involved.

The thing that's disheartening is that in all of these sports, it's various American and European law enforcement agencies that are outing the cheaters, not the actual governing bodies of the sports themselves. If not for law enforcement, baseball's single season home run record would be up to 80, the average speed in cycling's grand tours would be up to 30 m.p.h and women would have to run at least 10.8 just to make a global 100 meter final.

Even more disheartening is that the Sport Governing Body (eg IAAF) MAY have something to hide here. As bad as the rest of the stuff is, that would be the real Elephant in the room, if there were any truth in that "rumour". Of course, then there are National Sport Governing Bodies to consider, as well.
Just idle Internet conjecture.....so far.

Maybe that's the way it should be though. If you do something illegal, you're dealt with by the justice system. If you don't do anything illegal, great.

Maybe these alphabet soups have become a bit self serving. Any war on drugs tends to end up less about enforcing good policies, and more about maintaining the status quo for the interested parties.

The author of the recent meltdown letter is being threatened with a lawsuit from someone hefty, so he has decided not to publicly own up to writing it. However, people in know have confirmed who wrote the letter.

Can you name or at least describe to person who you got the letter from?

I want to see this letter.

The heat on Maurice just got turned up a notch. Emanuel Hudson at HSI declined to talk.


“We would like to hear his explanation,” the I.A.A.F. spokesman Nick Davies wrote in an e-mail message Wednesday.

The Times described the informant’s charges and what the informant said was a $10,000 wire transfer from Greene to the informant. The Daily Telegraph later quoted Greene as saying that he had met the informant, but did not obtain or use any drugs from him. Greene said he bought “stuff” for his track club teammates. “Our group was very close and things always came up,” Greene told the newspaper. “I would pay for stuff and not care what it was. I’ve paid for things for other people.”

In the e-mail message Wednesday to The Times, Davies wrote: “We have asked Maurice Greene for a written reaction to the entire article, including comments he is quoted as making, but have not received his reply yet.”

Davies said he made the request for explanations directly to Greene’s agent, Emanuel Hudson of HSInternational in Irvine, Calif. Hudson declined to talk about that request, or about Greene’s response.
