70 footers

Postby Thrower » Sat Feb 23, 2008 4:39 am

Does anyone out there in T&F-land have a list of the number of 70 foot throwers (shot, of course) there have been indoors & out? Cantwell's series yesterday got me wondering how many there have been.

You can start here:

http://www.alltime-athletics.com/index.html

Since this is a list of performances, if you want to know how many throwers there have been, you'll have to count them yourself.

YOU can, perhaps. I can't. Well, I suppose I could if I took the time to learn how, but I'm not about to invest that time just to count shot putters.

As a non-empiricist, I didn't realise that 21.34 was 70 foot... damn shame Scotty Martin fell 7 cms (2 and a bit inches?) short last week when breaking Aussie record...[/u]
