I recall that Simeon Kigen was an outstanding road racer and then, bam, he disappeared.
Anyone know what happened to him at the end of his career?

He wasn't deported. Just left the country and couldn't get back in. Same result, nonetheless.

Re: Simeon KigenI knew Simeon very well, he was deported by ICE, Escorted to the Denver Airport. A great person and friend. He volunteered often and donated his time at local events. He was in the US as a student. And was not enrolled in school. Nike and Rich Castro could not stop the racist ICE staff.
Re: Simeon Kigen
I'm not defending anyone here, but I don't see the "racist" element in deporting someone here on a student visa who really wasn't a student.
Re: Simeon KigenAnyone know what happened to him after he returned to Kenya in 85?
Re: Simeon Kigen
I also knew Simeon very well. I also knew the English guy who set up his sham marriage, which didn't help things. I didn't know he was actually escorted to the airport. Are you sure about that? This is the first I heard of it. I do remember the last time I spoke to Simeon that he was planning to go back to Kenya for a visit, and he told me he thought his marriage would let him get back in. I knew that was not likely. I thought he was getting some bad advice, but there wasn't much I could do about it. As for Castro, since you brought up his name, I don't want to get into any details, but his involvement with Kigen wasn't all positive. By the way, why did you bring this up?
