One problem with disallowing greatest hits collections is that some (few) songs were never released as albums, just 45s.
Thus Dylan's Positively 4th Street is only on his first greatest hits album and George Jackson exists only on 45 (and bootlegs). If you think messing with LPs is a pain, try finding the damn spindle for the 45.
The Stones' Ride on Baby was only on the Flowers album, which was kinda greatest hits.

My memory has been faulty at times, but I do remember a talk show appearance - I'm thinking Johnny Carson - where she smirks and winks when she is asked if it's about Beatty.
