Allyson Felix, the world 200-meter champion and silver medalist at the 2004 Athens Olympics, said she was dismayed when she found out Jones failed an initial doping test at the U.S. championships in June.
"There are a lot of young girls who are coming up in athletics, like I was, and a lot of them look up to Marion, so I do hope it's not true," Felix said at a meet in Birmingham, England, on Sunday.

She did not say that it was a pity that she got caught, she said that it was a pity what happened to her -- That she is (and was, presumably) taking PEDs to better compete.
It was and remains a frigging pity that the selfishness of Marion Jones was such that she wiggled her way into running on the relay team and robbing L. Williams and others of a medal.
