McWilliams has a bright future

Seeing that Mc Williams of Mississippi State ran a 2:02 half last weekend, on top of her good 1500 times, it seems that the US has a great wealth of talent in the pipeline for the women's middle and longer distances. It should be quite a race in the 1500 at the NCAA's, and the 800 as well. With all the great recruiting talent at Stanford, it is good to see other individuals coming through without a corporate hoard to contend with every day. Some good talent probably sinks from the constant pressure.

If you read the interview of McWilliams on fastwomen you'll see that she is still a novice and will hopefully be getting MUCH better in the next few years . . . she runs very, very low mileage.
