From the legal side now, how possible is it to be quilty for taking something that is not registered ?
What about research to proove that this substance has indeed anabolic properties. Chemical similarity doesn't say anything.

How is it possible to rely on some "anonumous source" who has send a used syringe (by whom was it used ?) and start mess with people's names ?

And all the above before the end of the story...

Finally, is there any legal basis to start retesting ? and if yes then what about retesting on past Norbolethone use ? Wasn't this steroid "accidentall" slept away from the Super WADA and the other authorities list's ???

Such question could be endless...

Why are so many people hung up on the anonymous source issue? Are they really that naive to think that the entire case is based only on this source.

Maybe this tip caused USADA (or any other agency) to begin an investigation that produced the concrete evidence that was used to crack the case. I could be wrong, but I'm going to guess that the people in charge were smart enough to independently verify the claims made by the "anonymous" source.

Are we certain that the person is truly "anonymous"? He/she may be anonymous to to the general public, but there's a chance that the investigators know who it is. Perhaps they feel that naming this person would hinder the rest of the investigation?

Over the past week, there have been ~300 posts regarding this issue. Yes, it is a BIG deal and could have serious repercussions for the sport. However, we have people on both sides arguing about what is legal or not legal without knowing all of the facts.

It's time to sit back, relax and wait for all of the pieces to fall into place.

Actually, the biggest problem with Eddie's argument was that it was based on pure speculation on his part. That is, he seems to think that the investigators are an incompetent bunch of idiots who don't know that law.

As big a bombshell as this is, I would bet that everyone involved made sure they dotted the "i's and crossed their "t"'s before they went public. In other words, they made sure the investigated was conducted in a way that met all any any legal standards.

There are many many cases where the feds just plain blew it when the cases got to court. This looks like a very thinly disguised and illegal search of Balco and the theft of a client list.

Can you say smear campaign. So where did Mr Chammbers get his THG, pray tell?

In the end, I'll bet nobody, not one athlete who tests positive, fingers BALCO for the THG.
