There was a story in Sports Illustrated a couple of years back (given how rarely SI covers our sport anymore, maybe it was in 2000, as part of their "Olympic coverage"?) in which he was potrayed as a rather bitter old man, sitting on his farm in Texas ruminating over why he didn't get more glory/recognition for the feats of his youth.

Yes, the article is the reason I am seeking current info on him. I was saddened by it. Have a faded picture of BM coming out of the blocks while at Texas Christian U. Thanks for reply.

Yes,he was at ACU; Abilene Christian College and has apparently returned to his hometown of San Benito in the Rio Grande River Valley.

Hmmm... in my memory it seems as if Bobby Morrow got a lot of press back in '56. I was just a kid but I recall he was a big deal. In retrospect it always seemed like Dave Sime was the one who got short-changed by fate. There was another great match up that should have happened more often, Morrow and Sime, healthy and in their prime.

Of course I cannot be objective, being a Duke grad myself, but the Sports Illustrated cover shot from 1956 of Morrow and Sime is my all-time favorite.
