The Landersites who wanted 'under' said it was less 'ostentatious', i.e., it lay discreetly against the wall. They were also the ones who tried to match the TP to their wallpaper and said they were complementary, and therefore needed to be 'closer together'! Most of them were commited into sanatori(a)ums for the Criminally Insane.
