Test for TafnutIt's been a while, but I finally have a test for you to return the favour for the time you put together this test for me. I've been in touch with your 'you-know-who' athlete to ask them some quick-fire questions... your task is to see how many answers of hers you already know. Here's a selection of the questions I asked:
Does/did she play any other sports outside of track and field? Does she watch any other sports apart from track and field? Who is her track & field hero? What was the greatest moment in her career so far? What was the worst moment in her career so far? What is her favourite TV show? Who are her favourite music artists? What is her favourite film? What is her favourite food? Enjoy!
OK
a. I admitted in MY test that I couldn't answer SD questions because I am destined to love her from afar (and NO! - it's not about the restraining order!) and 2. You're the Pro Journalist - I'm just the lowly fan in the trenches. but I'm a gamer, so here's my guesses: Does/did she play any other sports outside of track and field? ** I know she was in rodeos as a Goat-Roper!! Does she watch any other sports apart from track and field? ** Soccer!! Who is her track & field hero? ** JJK? What was the greatest moment in her career so far? ** Oly Gold! What was the worst moment in her career so far? ** Last year's OG What is her favourite TV show? ** My Favorite Martian! Who are her favourite music artists? ** Dixie Chicks? What is her favourite film? ** Chariots of Bubka What is her favourite food? ** Asparagus spears I'm guessing I got less right than you did, huh? I look forward to seeing the article, even if you have to pay for the issue and postage out of YOUR pocket!!

Re: Test for Tafnut
NEW scoring guide: 1 or 3 right - tafnut 4 or 6 right - Epelle 6 or better - Jon you and I switched places now that you are Somebody!
Can I be the standard for big fat 0???
It would be an honour and richly deserved. Love these contests! I am up to do Perdy or any other Canuck should the opportunity arise. (hint to AW- more Canadian content please)
I have never had less enthusiasum for a team heading into the world cup. I have this feeling that when ever they go a goal down that's it. No creativity at all. Strange thing is that might be the best way to head in to the competition, at least the press won't be singing their praises and dusting down the shelf for the trophy.
I actually have had the opposite opinion in the last year; I think that on paper this should be the best England team since 1970. That's what makes their poor performances even more frustrating than usual. The midfield should be one of the best in the world, and the potential for scoring from distance has never been better (Becks, Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney, Cole, are all a threat from up to 25m out). I've recently gone into the familar, "let's see how they can cock it up", mode for the WC.
I've just received the Aug issue of T&FN (!) and saw that there's a very similar Q&A with Stacy Dragila in there. Three of the questions that Tafnut answered correctly pop up in that one too, so I simply can't trust his answers.
Taf, sorry but I have no option but to disqualify you on the grounds of indirect cheating.
The premise of the accusation is absurd! Of course I woud have read it SOMEWHERE! When you answered the PR questions, you said, 'I think I read somewhere that' . . . so you should be DQed also?! All my students can be DQed because they read the answers to the quiz in the text book the night before?! Am I supposed to INTUIT the answers? I don't especially remember reading 'amswers' in the article, but the ones I got right were pretty darn obvious (she liked winning one OG and didn't like losing the next one!). I WISH I had a photographic memory, so I could recall all I read, but in reality we only remember those things we place a value on - if Stacyinfo ain't important, what IS?! SHEEEESH!
