Anybody Read "Generation Rx"?

subtitle "How Prescription Drugs Are Altering American Lives, Minds and Bodies"

Review makes it sound pretty interesting (aka scary), but don't want to dive into heavy tome written by some anti-conventional-medicine gadfly.

Another one of those "drugs over healthy life-style" nonsense. Let's just look at life expectancy, length of quality of life and on and on, comparing just the first half of this past century when there was little of effective drug treatment against the second half.
While there is a lot to criticize the drug industry for (greed, irresponsible advertising), overall they win hands down.

Agree. And a plug for the advances in radiology and other imaging modalities, dietary awareness, decrease in cigarette consumption and public health/hygiene. We've never had it so good!
