Prefontaine Classic Prep Milers

Since the Pre Classic began inviting the best high school runners to compete in the Bowerman Mile, the list has become pretty impressive: Michael Stember, Gabe Jennings, Don Sage, Alan Webb, and this year, Mike McGrath (4:05.28 on 5/3 in the McChesney Mile--very windy and rainy), and Steve Magness (4:02.99=, leading wire-to-wire).

Does this mean they are in, or do they still have to prove themselves further?

Yes, both are in, if they accept the invitations, and have the approval of their coaches.
