In the April issue U.S.Men's top 10s pg 20 the WR for the marathon is listed at 2:05:42. The AR is listed as 2:07:01.

Did Khannouchi split himself in two?

I think he may not have had his American citizenship yet when he ran the 2:05:42. Can anyone verify?

A good old-fashioned human error, I'm afraid.

Aren't those times just outdated? Khannouchi's current WR, also the American AR, is 2:05:38, from London, 2002. That time superceded his prior AR of 2:07:01, set at Chicago, 2002, and his prior WR, 2:05:42, from Chicago, 1999, when he was still a Moroccan.

Oops! The 2:07:01 was from Chicago, 2000. That was Khannouchi's first marathon as an American. How time flies!
