leichtathletik.de reported yesterday about an impressive early series of Japanese hammer thrower Koji Murofushi. Apparantly, all six of his throws were over 80 meters, with 82,36 the furthest (81,06/81,49/81,66/80,29/80,69). That's only about a meter under last years best world mark. I've liked Murofushi for some time now, this may become his break through year...

I remember reading about Karl-Hans Riehm, West Germany, throwing the hammer in a meet 6 times- and 6 times he broke the world record at the time.....like 252 feet or something!
Amazing to see human potential and development and surpassing previous achivements.

He threw 76.70 WR, 77.56 WR, 77.10, 78.50 WR, 77.16, 77.28.
