Some people previously had problems using the events navigation to jump between events within the lists. I've changed how these are coded and successfully tested them with the user who originally identified this problem. I'm interested in knowing if this has fixed the problem for everyone. Regarding the navigation on the lists...I'm finding no scroll bar on the navigation frame. The links work fine for those events showing in the frame, but you can't scroll past the relays. Not a big problem, unless one likes to go directly to the field events first!

What is the TF&N position on american affiliation. American born and raised people who in high school achieve a national mark sometimes get a "'" and sometime not. Leif and Nik Arrehnius are an example. Both born and raised in the US and American citizens. Since Nik competed for Sweden in the IAAF Junior he gets it and Leif who hasn't competed internationally doesn't. Felix Sanchez, Sanya Richards, Julien Dunkley, Paul Cross etc are all dual citizens. Many recent Somali immigrants don't have the "'"

Sounds reasonable, but you'd have to carve out an exception for those who compete for other countries in international competitions such as the World Youth Championships.

The other problem is that in most cases, those with dual citizenship ultimately choose to compete for other countries. It's almost always easier to make their teams. That being the case, there's an advantage (at least to statistically minded folks) to giving them the ' as soon as it is known that they have non-US citizenship (until they compete for the US or declare their intention of doing so.)

Our policy is that once you represent a country, you keep that affiliaction until you declare otherwise with the IAAF. So even though Bolota Asmerom competed in the '01 U.S. Champs, we still considered him Eritrean, because he had competed for his birth country in the '00 Olympics and had not changed his affiliation with the IAAF. He has subsequently done so and is now considered American.

Why on earth is it so difficult for college programs to list events on their schedules and post results from those events in a timely manner on their web sites? And don't tell me SIDs are too busy. Been there, done that, wore out the t-shirt.
