If Obama Were Married to a Secessionist, Would He Be Leading

If Senator Obama were the candidate with either:

a spouse who belonged to a secessionist organization for eight years

(or) a spouse who had stolen pain killers from a charity

would he be enjoying a lead in most recent political and state polls?

Imagine the reaction towards him & MIchelle if THEY had a pregnant teeenage daughter. I agree with Obama's stance that familys are off-limits. But, I'm sure the reaction towards them would have been totally different.

No. He wouldn't have been the nominee. McCain (who is decent when working on his own but is constitutionally incapable of assembling a competent team around him) is the nominee only because good candidates in the GOP knew this wasn't the year to win and didn't run.

There are 22 Republican governors around the country. One of them had to be better.

Check that, 21 GOP governors and one AIP governor. :)
