I'm going to be within a couple of hours this summer. Is it worth a day trip to see the joint?

I've been a few times; more than planned due to being stranded in Cleveland for 4 days following 9/11. As I'd already been there a week I did everything it's possible to do in Cleveland at least twice, including seeing if the river would catch fire. If it's a two hour drive or less, I'd say yes as you're a music aficionado. More than that, I wouldn't.

Not my cup of tea, but I understand it could be for others.

Definitely worth the visit. Tons of trivia, memorabilia, clothing, recordings, history from every genre of rock.

Many thumbs up! Although a hot July 4 weekend with 10,000 of your closest friends perhaps not the optimal window for a visit!

Of course, now is also zackly the wrong time to be sitting at the Cleveland airport trying to fly to SFO :-(

A band that should be in the HOF is BOSTON. They have the best selling debut album of all time with their self title effort in 1976.

Tom Scholz is a largy unacknowledge an unappreciated musician imho.

And Brad Delp was called "the man with the golden voice"

Was at a conference in Pittsburgh a while back and drove to Cleveland specifically to visit the HOF. It was worth it. Besides, knocked off another Presidential grave site - the assassinated James A. Garfield. That same trip (it was my wife's conference) I visited the high schools of all six HOF quarterbacks from the greater Pittsburgh area and the only public park named after Richard Nixon. bad hammy knows how to rock a great time . . .
