I'm going to be within a couple of hours this summer. Is it worth a day trip to see the joint?

I've been a few times; more than planned due to being stranded in Cleveland for 4 days following 9/11. As I'd already been there a week I did everything it's possible to do in Cleveland at least twice, including seeing if the river would catch fire. If it's a two hour drive or less, I'd say yes as you're a music aficionado. More than that, I wouldn't.

Not my cup of tea, but I understand it could be for others.

Definitely worth the visit. Tons of trivia, memorabilia, clothing, recordings, history from every genre of rock.
