As for me, I've gotten tired of the commercial brands...too much salt, and/or sugar etc. I now make my own from spanish peanuts which I buy raw, dry roast (320 degrees for 20 minutes), use my old vita-mix to make the butter, then mix it with one third honey. Very satisfying, delicious and even nutitious.
Still dig Skippy super-chunk though the Saltines I put it on are not as good. Most all crackers have changed, maybe baked in a new kind of oil or something? Sometime it's subtle, in others it's very noticeable. Bring back Bacon thins!
I used to take the chunky I got at the co-op and add a little bit of honey and some powdered milk- the milk gives it a more complete protein according to Frances Moore Lappe in Diet for a Small Planet.

Those of us of a certain age recall rejoicing when they finally got the chemistry right and the "real" PB quit doing that! What a pain in the ass to have to stir it every time, and invariably, by the time you got to the bottom of the can you had 10-20% wastage as the oil-deprived part settled into a substance harder than rebarred concrete.

The trade-off of course being that "unseparated" peanut butter uses hydrogenated vegetable oil, whereas natural peanut butter does not and is generally considered very heart-healthy.
