Here's a version without dancing. Surprisingly effective.

Marlow, this one's for you. I know you don't teach science, but surely you could create a lesson on Hamlet (or Heart of Darkness) in this style.

OK, I'm officially out from under the rock. I was listening to Q, the canadian show on NPR, and they played the whole of Gangnam Style.

Ok, I'm trying. m From limited observation "gangnam"seems be bouncing/stomping from foot to foot while gyrating (or not) one's arms to a heavy beat, with or without lyrics.
I can't tell, is it always performed to the same "music"?
What is the meaning/derivation of the term "gangnam"?

Gangnam is the rich suburb of Seoul, and the song is making fun of the hip culture there. There is only this one song to 'gangnam style' - it's Korean pop-rap.
Compare it to this, which it was patterned after:

Oh yes, I saw that early on - and isn't it interesting that all the cave-dwellers and under-rock hiders seem to be out and about now?!

The cave remains warm and cozy for this dweller.

The Lions don't often beat the Ducks, but I think we won this one.

I heard my seven years old singing "Eh- Sexy Lady oh oh oh oh" !! I asked him where he heard it and he gave me an odd look and said Gangnam Style. I think I officially moved into old fart territory.

One guess what the origin of the terms "Jazz" and "Rock'n'Roll" is.
Some of the greatest songs songs in history are about it.
I don't think you need worry.

Unfortunately, with kids the right [wrong] age, I get the beat/phrase and three seconds of it is annoying, and three seconds is nothing for a 10-year old -- Daisy, pray your kids are under the same rock as much of our group...

I wasn't referring to the sex part, but the having no clue where the song line came from. And that, despite the fact that you'd already alerted me to its importance.

Unrelated to Gangnam, my (almost) 3-year old started singing "Hey, baby! Let's rock and roll!" the other day. Apparently, this is related to something her class is doing for their upcoming Winter Variety Show... or at least we think so!

The only take-way there is: any heavy exertion, especially when out of shape and/or without proper warm-up, can kill you.
