I haven't chimed in on this before, but please stop saying Tiger doesn't win because he misses putts. Tiger is the greatest putter in the world, and maybe the greatest ever. Every putt cannot go in. He made plenty of putts today. Some don't go in.

When Tiger loses, it is usually because of what happened today. He cannot drive the ball in the fairway with any regularity. In fact, as bad a driver as he is, it is unbelievable the scores he is able to manufacture. From the middle of the fairway, Tiger is the greatest player ever - no doubt about it. If he ever learns to control his driver, he would win every tournament by 10 shots. Look at how many fairways he missed today and not only that, by fairly large margins. As he said in the interview, he hit the ball worse almost every day. Shooting a 69 today from where he drove it, especially when he was black 3 after 5, was a miracle.

Overall, Tiger played very well, better than i thought but he seemed to unravel towards the end, like he said, he played worse and worse. I know the greens are fast but ive watched Tiger at this event for 10 years and never seen him put a birdie putt 20 feet by. Never seen him duff a sand shot. The bad drives are nothin new but his short game was shakey.

Phil not only held it together but he pulled away. He definitely deserved the win. The amazing thing about Tiger's performance is that it appeared that he had a bad tournament but yet he still finished in the top 5. Only the great athletes can pull that off. Just imagine what he's going to be doing in the final 3 majors if he decides to prepare better and play in some tournaments before hand?

He is. When we were in college and playing amateur tournament, he was a God, and was another thought to be the next Nicklaus. He was incredible and turned out to be pretty good on Tour but I think was just too nice to be self-centered and arrogant enough to get to that next level. In most sports, the very top level of superstars almost have to have that to get to the very highest echelon.

That is the amazing thing about Tiger. A guy in Durham and I were talking a few months ago about this - this guy captained the Duke golf team back around 1967-68, so he knows his stuff - few years ahead of me, and we both agreed the most amazing thing about him is how well he can score, and often still win, while driving the ball all over the place. If he could drive it like Greg Norman or Arnold Palmer, the tour would have to close down for lack of competition. To shoot that 69 yesterday was an absolute miracle considering how poorly he was hitting the ball. If that was me, when I was playing, it woulda been a 79. Which is probably why I'm here, writing this, and not still playing.

You have to admit, it was a great tournament, lots of drama and suspense as to the winner. The biggest surprise for me was Tigers 14 bogies, 5 each on sat and sun. When Tiger gets it all put together, he again will be untouchable. Scary to have that much talent.

And it just so happens that one of his groupies/conquests, Joslyn James, was in the same area, and is now suing the Ritz-Carlton Hotel for canceling her reservation. She claims she booked a room there because she was scheduled for a strip show in the area. Gloria Allred thinks Tiger reserved a room in the same hotel (word is he didn't), and they knew who she was and turned her away.

Was this girl seen in Augusta during the Masters? If that is the case, she has become nothing more or less than an obsessed stalker; and that being the case, I have no doubt that she will book a hotel room near Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, during the week of The Players Championship. And most likely, she will follow him to Pebble Beach for the U.S. Open, looking still to set him up (perhaps with paparazzi she or an associate will have obviously hired) and get a photo opportunity.

It would be incredibly galling if she were to show up at St. Andrews, Scotland during the week of the British Open. If she is spotted anywhere in that town, she will have crossed the line from simply obsessed to simply dangerous, and we've seen celebrity obsession turn deadly before. Fatal Attraction ring a bell, anyone? This could reach a fever-pitch at Whistling Straits if she is still running around and he is not on his guard during the week of the PGA Championship.

It was a stupid move for Gloria Allred to make that lawsuit against the hotel public, because now Tiger, his caddy and his entire entourage know that they have an obsessed and possibly dangerous mistress/groupie/stalker on their hands. Whether he triggered this obsession in her, or it was always in her long before she met Tiger (that is to say she had mental issues beforehand), is anyone's guess. The sooner she steps over that line, though, she's going to find herself committed.

I'll bet good horse money he's got a private detective working behind the scenes, now that he knows that one of his mistresses has lost a few screws and become a celebrity stalker. This may reach a point where he may have to get a restraining order if there is any indication at all that she may turn to blackmail, extortion and/or even violence. She has to realize that she can't keep this up indefinitely. Soon enough she will run out of money long before Tiger does, even if the divorce settlement forces him to cough up whatever he earned between 2004 and 2009. Unless of course she has a secret benefactor who's fueling her obsession with whatever it takes to follow him around.

And what is this I hear about 120 affairs? They need to get the details with that number straight! Did he have affairs with 120 different women, or did he have 120 different encounters with 19 different women (give or take 1 or 2; in any case,the largest number I've seen thus far) an average of about 6 encounters for each girl? I'd say it was the latter, because if he really slept with 120 women, We'd have seen more than 60 of them come forward by now! Some people will go to any length imaginable to misrepresent a statement!

Excellent point. Business as usual at Augusta means that women can be second-class citizens and as long as we men get to watch our sports, we're 'OK' with it . . .. As Lee Westwood says, "What gender issue? I'm a man."

Not the only club. Butler National here in town would be an ideal US Open site however there is a similar problem.

Exactly. I respect the right of individuals to join clubs with restrictive pratices. But I insist on the right to avoid events held at such clubs. If enough people made enough noise about this, or refused to watch the Masters telecasts, Augusta would change.

I know what you mean. If Woods is winning I will most likely watch, otherwise forget it. But even then I have an uneasy feeling watching the show. It always feels like watching golf on some 19th century plantation.

Russ Berkman's dream came true when he won a lottery for four passes to Wednesday's practice round at the Masters golf tournament. But the Seattle-area resident's stomach turned when he found his dog, Sierra, had eaten them.

Berkman told KJR radio on Tuesday he was still determined to go. His girlfriend told him he had to make his dog puke.

He induced vomiting and recovered a gooey glob. Then he went to work trying to put about 20 vomit-covered pieces back together.

He says he recovered about 70 percent of the tickets. He took photos and explained the situation to the Augusta National Golf Club as "my dog ate my Masters tickets!"

They reprinted Berkman's tickets and had them waiting for him in Georgia.
