Record? Post with Most Reads, No Response

Postby bad hammy » Fri Dec 09, 2005 11:58 am

There is a post floating around here title something like 'WORLD'S SEXIEST T&F ATHLETES'. When last I looked 101 had viewed the post, but no one had responded. Got me to thinking, outside of special posts by T&FN staffers (like the occasional FYI sticky notes) what is the record for the most viewed post that no one felt like responding to?

We'll probably never know because it appears that the meter started to run only when they re-designed the Board this year. If you revive an old thread that has not been active since the re-design, I think you'll find that there are no views recorded even though there may have been lots of posts on the thread. So whatever the record is, you have to remember that it's like one of those "new implement" records. It doesn't go back forever to the beginning of the Message Boards.

Good point, tandfman. And thanks to your post, it will not be this thread!

It's a more interesting thread than the World Cup draw. Besides, who cares about a track meet in Athens at the end of September?

BH this one titled "Running Past--Website" is currently at 201 (after BH and I went back again) views with zero posts. Is that a record? At the end it all depends on how long the post lasts before scrolling off the bottom. Possibly the historical section has some big view/post ratios

Made me look, so it should be at least 200 now. Don't know what the record is.
