On the Tuesday, Nov. 29th editions of Jon Stewart's Daily Show and also on the spin-off Colbert Report, the no-confidence vote against the Canadian government was prominently featured. It was the lead story on the Daily Show, and the third story on the Colbert Report.
Now seeing as how both of those shows make their money on comedy, it was not exactly straight reporting. There were numerous references to our (the US) total ignorance of Canada, the Canadian government, etc. On the other hand, there were also admiring comments that Canadians have a process whereby you could actually vote a government out of office at the time there was no confidence, as opposed to some countries where you have to actually wait a number of years before doing so.
In any event, it was more coverage about the no-confidence vote than I saw on local or national news.
