2005 Resolutions!!! One Month Remains

Postby EPelle » Wed Nov 30, 2005 5:20 am

What have you put on the back-burner this year that you know must get done in the next 31 days? What resolution(s) did you make which seem like it (they) won:t come to pass now that the final month of the year is approaching?

The resolution that I made on 1 Jan 05 that I have yet to implement is to stop procrastinating. As God is my witness, this is a fact. :oops:

T-19 is one of those resolutions!! More importantly is implementing Oracle before 31-December... integration teams are in agreement that this will not happen, but corporate big guys have a date set.

T-19?? What kind of code is that??

And the rest of that sounds like work. New Years resolutions are supposed to be about personal stuff like losing weight, drinking less, exercising more, stop being such a prick, stuff like that. Not mundane work-related stuff!

T-19 has now become T-18 :-)

Ah, non-work-related stuff: Get 2 seconds to myself to get out and run... most of this time behind the computer is spent working on proposals and integrating our company with the new one.

If I get your drift on this, either it is time for new batteries in your calculator, or maybe Sweden is using the old Julian calendar. Across the pond here Jan. 1 is in 28 days.

Or, I don't get your drift because I am too dense, and therefore must have everything spelled out for me.

Sorry to confuse you, Hammy, but somewhere between the here and now T-18 became T-16.

See, I told you I was dense. :cry: Do not toy with the afflicted – make that one of your 2006 resolutions. :evil: :)

Last time I toyed with the "afflicted" I got a death threat (but was home, asleep, and missed all the fun). I believe it was the one and only ever such on this board :-)

In 2006, I'm going to try REALLY hard NOT to

* drink ANYTHING with alcohol in it
* smoke ANYTHING
* take any kind of illegal PED (I reserve the right to take small doses of caffeine in my Pepsi's)
* take ANY kind of illegal drug
* be with moral turpitudinally challenged women (or men for that matter!)
* drink coffee
* eat fruits
* eat any green vegetable (or pink or purple or blue or magenta, etc.)
* eat any seafood
* eat any food I can't pronounce
* avoid eating Snickers bars
* go to an opera, ballet or symphony
* miss a chance to see George Thorogood in concert
* stop eating pizzas on a semiweekly basis (remember, this is a double negative statement)

There's lots more there, but another resolution is to lose interest in things that are starting to bore me (and YOU, of course) :D

I knew you had some redeeming qualities. :wink: GT puts on a helluva show. Loved him since his first album on Rounder Records back in 1977. Saw him live three years ago (with BB King) with tickets in the second row. Great show!
