Shooting from 200 Yards Away

I was out shooting this week and I have a question. Can anyone give me some advice on shooting because I could not aim worth beans?

No trouble man. The guy is big into his guns. They're banned here in NZ apart from hunting rifles.

I couldn't avoid putting in a plug for what may be the most hilarious book I've ever read, "A Good Keen Man", by Barry Crump, about the author's experiences as a deer-culler in New Zealand in his late teens. You will pee your pants reading this.

200 yards? Clearly that concept depends on your terrain. Where I grew up and did my hunting it was in such dense forest that 50y was considered a markedly long shot. Having a scope on the rifle was actually a detriment. Not that killing things turns out to be all that much fun in the end.
