Good stuff! It wasn't on live but I'll set my TiVo. I've been dreaming for the last 18 months but have toned them down a notch or two lately. This team has to have the best potential since 1970...we'll see...

lucky enough to have seen a lotta games over the weekend:

france-germany 0-0 :

france were toothless without viera & zizu - maybe a quarter/semi final for them

germany were industrious, busy & dynamic, but still toothless in attack - qf/semi again at best

holland-italy 1-3 :

holland are a good young side who were unbeaten in qualifying & tipped to do well in wc

however, italy were truly masterful ! rock-solid defense, lightening counter-attacks, & even good on set plays !

italy look, by far the best team in europe & i can see them winning the wc

aussies win in pks to advance over uruguay...

forlan was out due to injury...

trinidad wins at bahrein 1-0 to advance....beenhaker is a great coach to take that group to the finals...

turkey and swiss tied 4-4 in aggregate as I pots.

Trinidad also advanced. Four CONCACAF teams are going to Germany. Australia, too. It's indeed a brave new world.

trinidad got off to a very ppor start in the hexagonal..

fired their coach and hired leo beenhaker...

and he turned them around...

still, jack warner is from t&t and the ehad of concacaf...

basically he rigged the draw in the semi finals so the group was mexico, t&t and a couple island natioms...st vincent and the grenadines and another minnow...

two advanced...

other groups were FAR tougher...

still t&t went into the last match of the hex HOSTING mexico, which had already clinched a slot...

well, mexico just showed up and went through the motions, and t&t did the job, beating them 2-1....

now t&t beat bahrein 1-0 yesterday........

and bahrein is a total piece of garbage.......

they'd have been beaten 10-0 is they'd had gotten to germany....
