i saw a documentary about that recently: apparently spassky had a winning record v fischer coming into the match !
the shenanigans in iceland upset him & he underperformed - he certainly wasn't worth a 6 - 0 thrashing ( or whatever it was )
Fischer had never beaten him. Spassky won the first game. Fischer forfeited the second. Then Fischer won 7 out of the next 19, Spassky won one and 11 were drawn.

Funny, that's how most Americans describe T&F . . .
well you certainly think so(or maybe you know). why not go back the mj thread and respond to accelarator. he has called you out. you dont seem to answer.
Called me out?? What grade are you in? Don't you have some homework to do or something?? Based on your posts around here I'd suggest you take up some remedial English, for starters.

I don't know if it's the overwhelming commercial load on TV (which actually translates to a even worse product in person, because at home you can at least get up and dust a shelf or do something to be productive instead of just sitting there), but I'm starting to find most sports just too long and drawn out, with too much dead time. Of course, maybe there's just the chance that I'm turning in to a raging intellectual

With the picture above, I would have to stop running (period) if I want to look like that. Not going to happen! Besides, I would not participate in front of people with the clothes he is wearing. A singlet and shorts is alright with me.
Welly boot throwing was always a firm favourite at our local fete. I think big mac would enjoy it too. You also get as many throws as you want throughout the day. Of course you have to pay for the privilege.
hey, big mac - I did NOT give you permission to use my picture in your post above. I don't want my glutes out there for everyone to gawk at. You gotta come to my shows to see MY booty.
Nuvoleinviaggio has got it right: beach volleyball is the most fun sport to play. As long as you can also jump in the ocean and surf in some fashion (bodysurf, sponge, boardsurf, it doesn't matter... any kind of waveriding in warm water is a primal experience!)
