5/26/75 - Filbert Bayi - Dream Mile Come True
6/14/76 - Dwight Stones - 7'7"
9/12/77- Juantorena & Bayi - The Big Race
2/6/78 - Dick Buerkle & Filbert Bayi - New Master of the Mile
3/6/78 - Houston McTear - Sprint Sensation
10/30/78 - Bill Rodgers - New York Marathon
2/26/79 - Eamonn Coghlan - Shatters the Mile *
7/9/79 - Eamonn Coghlan - A Mile to Shout About *
7/30/79 - Sebastian Coe - Smashes the Mile Record
10/29/79 - Bill Rodgers - Four in a Row
2/15/80 - Mary Decker - She was Simply Smashing
7/7/80 - Steve Scott - US Olympic Trials
8/11/80 - Sebastian Coe - Olympic 1500 Meter Champ
9/12/83 - Edwin Moses - He Does It Again
7/29/85 - Mary Decker Slaney & Zola Budd - Back on Track
5/20/91 - Michael Johnson - The Splendid Sprinter
9/9/91 - Mike Powell - 29'4 1/2 "

All issues have labels. All in extremely fine or better condition. Those with "*" have very minor problems.

$3 each plus shipping/handling or all 20 for $50 plus shipping/handling. Email me at edapril7@mac.com.

Great memories though, back when SI recognized our sport. Having one Kenny Moore on hand certainly didn't hurt things.

I had saved most of those same issues myself until I got divorced in 1986 and had to dump a lot of stuff (but NOT my TFN collection!).

Apropos of Sports Illustrated, and casting no aspersions against the editor of this great magazine, but can i just say, having just visited the SI website, how awesome their archive is!

Wow, thanks for the tip George. I typed in Michael Johnson track in the search engine for past issues, and it gave me the option to read all the articles and buy the cover reprint of the '91 issue that was on sale in this post. It seems that you can read all the articles from any past issue within a certain timeframe:
