Re: more books - box Jwilt/ecker and aspland/hathway books sold also...
Re: more books - box JIf you lived just a little closer, 1.5 hours vs. 3, I'd drive down there, and help you clean out those boxes with a C-note. The 1944 'Military Track' sounds priceless.
Re: more books - box Jhahahaha.....let me know what you want, ill save them and bring them up to jax...we have the usatf convention there in december!!
Re: more books - box J>>We have the usatf convention there in december!<<
I definitely want to meet you there. How shall we get all these other yahoos to come visit us?
Re: more books - box JMake sure you are there on thursday night for the annual Long Island Association party. GH can vouch for the quality/quantity of drink that flows.
Re: more books - box J>Make sure you are there on thursday night for the annual Long Island
>Association party. GH can vouch for the quality/quantity of drink that flows. Doggone it MJR you are making me thirsty ! I went to over 10 straight conventions back in the day when I did some insurance work for USATF, but's that's all in the past. And my home town is even Huntington, L.I. !
Re: more books - box JMJR - what exactly is entailed in one of these confabs? I'm thinking it's probably dry as Melba Toast. I'm going cuz it's local, but I'm guessing it's a little less raucous than the Tailhook conventions they USED to have in Vegas.
I see an agenda here: http://www.usatf.org/about/AnnualMeeting/2005/ I'm particularly excited that "This year is a Law & Legislation year." Gavel-to-gavel bacchanalia, I'm sure. Last edited by tafnut on Sat Jul 09, 2005 2:31 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: more books - box Jbut tafnut, maybe STACY will be there....
Re: more books - box J>but tafnut, maybe STACY will be there....<<
My luck doesn't run that way. When my daughter was vaulting in college, we went to a meet and spoke to her. She was very encouraging to my daughter and the next week in the mail we got a very nice autographed picture from her. That will have to do me for the rest of my life, I'm afraid.
Re: more books - box JTafnut, yes the meetings are mostly boring as hell, except that this year should bring in some top level resignations because of improprieties in last year's elections. Things bordered on institutionalized fraud. Needless to say, it should be entertaining to sit back and watch.
That said, the after-parties are usually great affairs. Its a good way to wind down after fighting like hell with people for hours on end.
Re: more books - box J>but tafnut, maybe STACY will be there....
stacy has been there on several occasions..she was there last year...
