edit: at th risk of being 'relevant', I'm always on the lookout for historical track pubs, especially ATFS Annuals - have them back to '66. Or old USA Annuals - have back to '82. Only have photocopies of the HS Annuals of 57-69. Ain't got lots of $$$ but I promise them a good home, with lots of good company in clean bookshelves.

i'm not sure where this came from, but i think it has the potential to be pretty awesome.
probably a dumb question, but anyone have any prefontaine stuff they'd be willing to part with?
my prized running related possession is the 1970 sports illustrated with pre on the cover. i once had three of these bad boys (found some dude back in '97 selling them for $15 each), but i gave two of them to college teammates. last i checked, these things were going for nearly $100 on ebay.
i got pre to autograph my program right after he won the 5,000 against the russians at berkely, (victory lap) new american record 13:33? i noticed he had a lot of stubble on his face. i dont know what happen to the program but just so i can feel bad how much you want for it?
Hey, I went to that meet too. I went to get my program from the meet. July 2-3, 1971. There are newspaper clipping with results inside. Pre ran 13.30.4, meet record. There are several autographs on my program. Pat Matsdorf on the cover. He won the high jump that meet in 7-6-1/4, world record. Gerry Lindgren signed his picture as did Valeriy Borzov, Steve Prefontaine, and many others. Thanks for bringing back good memories.

OH, SNAP! i really have no idea what i'd be willing to pay for a prefontaine autograph. i'm sure it would be a decent price, couple bills maybe, depending on the condition of the program. i tend to spend too much money on things i obsess about. lately it's been pearl jam. i hate to admit it, but in the last year, i'm sure i've spent more than a grand on concert tickets, tour posters, bootlegs, etc.

i don't suppose you'd be willing to part with that program, would you?
