National Public Radio's daily call-in show, Talk of the Nation, held a robust discussion of the Marion Jones situation yesterday. The conversation included a spotaneous telephone call from "Joan from North Carolina" who was a 1996 Olympian (it was indeed Joan Nesbit Mabe), and a prearranged call from Victor Conte. Also, a cyclist who admitted to doping use discussed his motivations for cheating and the regrets he lives with today.

I just saw this column today, missed it at the time. Guru quoted in the 5/06 NYT: "A writer named Guru replied, "Put up or shut up."
