Rodeo

Happy 55th birthday today (Sunday) to an Olympic champion who won the Olympic gold medal at the age of 25.

These seven people also share a December first birthday with our birthday athlete. Do you know which one of these seven was also born the same year as our birthday person? 1. Walter Alston, 2. Lee Trevino, 3. Charlene Tilton, 4. Mary Martin, 5. Lou Rawls, 6. Woody Allen, and 7. Bette Midler.

Born on a Monday, our birthday athlete won the Olympic gold medal in North America on a Monday.

Don't even worry about the hurdles when trying to come up with the name of this champion.

Our birthday person shares the same initials as a famous American composer who died in 1990. If you know works like "Billy The Kid" and "Fanfare For The Common Man", you might know this composer.

This birthday athlete also won a gold medal at the World Championships. This World Championship gold medal was won on a Tuesday.

Skip the jumping events and the steeplechase when trying to think of our athlete's name.

If you remember the Edsel and the Hula-Hoop, then you probably were alive when our birthday person was born.

The place of our athlete's birth and the site where this athlete won the World Championship gold medal are both located in the same continent.

Do you know this Olympic champion? Go ahead and name this athlete born on the first day of December 55 years ago today.

Yeah. Aaron Copland is the composer with the same initials.

OMG, AC's "Rodeo" is as ubiquitous as any of his compositions. Fun tie-in there, as I was prepared to learn of some Olympian who'd also busted Bronc's or busted bawls on Bulls.

Actually, I thought "Rodeo" has some more direct connection with Cova. Apparently I was wrong.

Yes, LopenUupunut, it is Alberto Cova who turns 55 today and yes, it is Aaron Copland with the same initials. Of course you know that Cova was known for his tremendous last lap kicks in winning the 10,000 in Helsinki (1983) and in Los Angeles (1984). Happy birthday Alberto Cova and nice job, LopenUupunut.
