Rod Milburn, first sub-13.00?

I read somewhere "don't remember exactly" that Rod Milburn could have been
the first sub-13.00 at the 110m hurdles.

I believe he hit 13.0 hand at the 1971 AAU in Eugene. Electronically, I believe his best was 13.24 at Munich 1972.

Felt really bad about how he ended up. Doing "menial" type of tasks and drowned (if I recall correctly) in a vat of chemicals, not too many miles from where I live.

Absolutely if he'd run longer like the pros can today. At 26-29..no problem!

Southern had some great teams once upon a time.
