1968 Olympic Men's Long Jump

I had some questions for the track gurus. Does anyone have the wind measurements for the jumps for the major competitors? Also, did it start raining right after Bob Beamon set the world record? Thanks!

we charted the wind readings in a thread once many years ago, like many events, lots of ludicrous 2.0 readings.

Yes, it started raining shortly after Beamon jumped. As I recall t here were jokes that he had caused it, so huge was his achievement.
