I visited the museum on Saturday (for the first time) and I was the only visitor. Stayed 20 minutes, no-one else came. I can see why the city wants the space as it's located on the river and has a drop dead view; perfect for a restaurant. The place is an anachronism inside an anachronistic city.
The Al Oerter inspired Art Of the Olympians museum has closed, and Bob Beamon, exec director has resigned. I could see this coming. They should move it to Geneva. Ft. Myers Florida was where Oerter died, but not exactly a hub of activity….for much of anything. http://www.news-press.com/article/20130 ... ck_check=1
