A guy you may have heard of named Amby Burfoot is seeking complete results of women's 800m heats at the 1960 Olympic Trials. The official Olympic Trials book, which he has, lists only the top three in each heat.
I told him that while I thought that the data didn't exist if Hymans couldn't find it, I'd ask the experts. Which are y'all. Anyone got anything?
A friend of mine who ran heats, didn't qualify for final, is hoping to write about the event. Pretty interesting historically. So if you know anyone who might be able to find full results, please direct them here.

Have to agree with gh. Unless you find someone who worked there with some results it seems pretty hopeless. Why was the meet in Texas? Seems like a pretty unlikely place for a women's meet in 1960. Of course, that would have been practically anywhere in the US in 1960, or 1970 for that matter, except perhaps California.
The best (and most recent) source was the July 16, 1960 issue of the Abilene Reporter News, which lists the top-3 in each heat, notes that the first 3 in each heat qualify for the final (correcting what I had in the most recent electrnic edtion of the Trials), and notes that Walsh was 8th (of 9 runners) in her heat. Where the original heat sheets and full results are - are a mystery to me.
