Thanks for the memories!!

Two thoughts:

Cordner Nelson was the greatest writer T&FN ever had!!
(And of course he was so much more than that!!)

Has there EVER been a meet on US soil that got 153,000 attendance over two days (76,500 average per day!!) since then or before??

BTW, I wasn't at the 1962 meet, but I DID attend the 1964 US-USSR meet!!
And yes, I had a front row seat during Gerry Lindgren's electrifying victory!!
(He even came over after the race and stood right in front of me sucking on an orange!!)
