Caitlin Chock: What happened to her?

Postby aaronk » Thu Jul 19, 2012 4:29 am

In 2004, Caitlin Chock became the first high school girl to run a sub-16:00 5K, with her 15:52.88 HSR.
After graduating, she went to train with Alberto Salazar's group.
Then she came out and said she had an eating disorder.
And nothing more was ever heard from her.
Or at least, I haven't been able to find out anything.
She'd be just 26 years old now, or close to that age.

Does anyone know how she's doing?
Or what she's doing?
Is she working, married, have children, running again??
Is she over the eating disorder?

She had such great potential.
Her time is still the 3rd best-ever by a high school girl, behind Emily Sisson and Cayla Hatton.

Thanks VERY much!!!!!
Went there, and she has a FANTASTIC site!!
Wrote her a long comment, and hopefully will get a reply.
Sounds like she's doing great!!
(I encouraged her to try for a full comeback!!)
