Former ECU coach Bill Carson passes away Monday

Among others he coach LaShawn Merritt (for part of a school year I think it was before he turned pro.) and Lee McNeill.

Sad to hear that. Was quite fortunate in '96 to gather from him certain training concepts to assist our program.

Bill was a passionate (to say the least) advocate for his athletes, but always a very nice gentleman to me.

Great Coach! Loved his attitude concerning training in spikes.He strongly believed in training in spikes from the start of training.Getting off the plane in spikes.And he would evaluate talent that was under the radar and recruit that kid,and have a strong sprint crew every year.You definately ran faster after you ran for Coach Carson.
