Silent Gesture

Happy 68th birthday today (Wednesday) to an Olympic champion. Some say this champion was one of the all-time best.

The athlete's current age and the Olympic Games in which the gold medal was won share the same two digits.

I could give you many other clues (ie. the bronze medalist had a 67th birthday yesterday), but you already have enough to name our birthday athlete for today.

Very good, mcgato. It is Tommie Smith who turns 68 today. He may not be the fastest 200 man of all-time, but he sure was a pleasure to watch during his career. Happy birthday Tommie Smith.
