The Right Name

Postby DoubleRBar » Thu Mar 15, 2012 7:13 am

Happy birthday today (Thursday) to an Olympic champion with three Olympic gold medals from the same Olympics. One of those three Olympic gold medals came with a world record.

Our birthday champion was born and died in March. The president of the United States was 52 years old when our birthday athlete was born. This same U.S. president died when our birthday person was four years old.

This mystery athlete competed in another Olympic Games, four years after winning the three Olympic gold medals. Our birthday athlete did not win any medals at these Games.

Even though this person won three Olympic gold medals at one Olympics, our birthday athlete was not the favorite in any of the three events.

Name this Olympic champion with a March 15th birthday.

Of those athletes who have only three gold at one Olympics, and not any other medals, no one fits the conditions of the question.
There should be more medals or/and more than two Olympics.

I never mentioned other medals this athlete won. This athlete won three gold at one Olympics. Four years later, this person won no medals.

In this case, it's 1904-1906-1908 Olympics.
Three of Gold in 1904 - James Lightbody
Gold and Silver in 1906 and there are no medals in 1908.

You got him, gennady. Happy birthday today to Jim Lightbody. Jim was born 130 years ago this day (Chester A. Arthur was our president). There might be someone who could do it now, but I doubt it. I'm talking about Lightbody's three gold medals in St. Louis: 1,500 meters, 800 meters, and the steeplechase.

No way unless he was from Kenya. Keino got 2 of the 3 in different OG.
