I'll take a shot at Valery Borzov, winning golds in 100 and 200 in '72. I believe he got some silvers in the 400 relay . Dunno about those 2 wr's though. Plus it's got to be a male, unless some gal has a spouse named Phyllis.
On a set of medals is Kip Keino 1968 - 1500m gold, 5000m - silver. 1972 - steeplechase gold, 1500 - silver. The first Olympiad in 1964 (24y.o.) - no medals. On name decryption need more time.
You got it, gennady and happy birthday today to Kip Keino. Of his four Olympic medals, only two of them were from the same event (1,500 in 1968 and 1972). The "African Revolution" really started in force with Kip Keino in the 1960's. Of course, the elevation of Mexico City didn't hurt this movement very much.

Valery Borzov was born in 1949. Won gold in 1972 100/200 and silver in the 400 relay. In 1976 100 bronze and 400 relay bronze. His wife, Ludmilla Turischcheva has 4 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze in gymnastics.

You can congratulate me too. I was born on January 17, 1953.
Early in my days at T&FN, I heard a tale that Keino got his birthday from an American meet promoter, because he had no idea what it was (or at least not the specific date in the year).
What far more notable Olympic champion turned 70 today?
