Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John

Happy 64th birthday today (Wednesday) to an Olympic champion who competed in three Olympic Games. Our birthday athlete took Olympic silver as well as the gold.

Born in a city named for a surveyor, this champion graduated from a university founded the same year New Mexico became a U.S. state.

Our birthday athlete is the only person from this athlete's country to win an Olympic gold medal in this particular event.

An author, a speaker, and a singer, this individual was the youngest person to ever win the Olympic gold medal in this particular event, until Beijing in 2008.

A very famous and wealthy person also attended our birthday athlete's school.

Who knows this Olympic champion with a 64th birthday today?

Our 1948 champion and very young. So his first Olympics in 1968, 1972, 1976. Age 20 years.
Long puzzled over non-US Olympic champion men, and nothing good is to give. Several times reread the question and understood that the reference point should be the young champion of 2008 and under the age of 20.
According to these parameters is only suitable Pamela Jelimo 19 years. So we must find an Olympic champion 1968 800m women.
So our congratulations should be addressed to Madeline Manning.
Her first medal - gold 1968 800m. Silver 4x400m 1972. She is the only one American woman who won the 800m.
Happy Birthday to Madeline Manning! :D
