What is the point of these comments? None of you have any "confirmed" friends as far as I know, and by that I am not expressing skepticism regarding your capacities for friendship and the probability that you have friends, but I simply am not cognizant of this, so the above comment strikes me as ridiculous.

Yes, he repeated challenged the board policies [excessive posting of copyrighted material and declining to remove such, attacking other posters, etc)and asked to be banned for violating them, gh finally responded (I had not seen gh's board input for a period of time before and am guessing that he finally go around to reading the board and this thread).

I guess I did miss that...its too bad he had to move in that aggressive direction. He may have made some good contibutions.

I will slow things down. BRIAN THERIOT has made it clear several times that David Mack is his good friend. The word "confirmed" in quotes was not meant to cause a stir. Nor was the word "only." I will choose my words more carefully next time.

Mr. Theriot, you are totally a legend. I've been running in the OC since 1971, and I remember the great ones. OC in the 1970s was definitely the Golden Age of high school track and field. I am surprised that the great Ralph Serna has not invited you to the Runners Re-United get togethers. It is a blast. Such luminaries as Curtis Beck, Mark Schilling, Robert Harrell, Tom Kovacich, Steve Scott, Thom Hunt... just to name a few, were in attendance. Great memories and war stories.
A similar onslaught to the RR group has prevented any welcome for him there. The OC and So Cal crowd is very familiar with the absurdness and predictability of disruption and wants no part of it. All of this is quite transparent and travels along with its originator. And its not new, nor improved.
