OK, so who's the only guy ever to score in the high hurdles and a throw?

As noted in the other thread about NCAA doublers, the only events Johnson scored in were highs and LJ.

Campbell scored only in the highs.

I'm thinking off the top of my head, dangerous anytime, but was Kenneth Bantum of Manhattan Col the doubler of note?

Earl Thomson, almost certainly. Hurdles (possibly both 120y and 220y) and discus.

If not, then Bob Mathias, 120yH and DT.

Bantum scored in the SP and DT, Thomson only in the hurdles (as a senior, in the first year of the NCAA; perhaps he scored in the discus at the IC4A?

The correct answer is Mathias: 2nd in the 110H in '52, 6th in the SP in '51, 6th in the discus in '52.

So what event did Mathias's brother score in?

As to my pro status, you'll notice that I try avoid answering anybody else's trivia questions; I just provide ones I hope others can have fun teasing their brains with.

"So what event did Mathias's brother score in?"

Since no one has stepped up to GH's latest question, the answer would be that younger brother Jim was a discus thrower.
