crawford got off to that great start from lane 1 and never look back though don quarry was closing that last 40 yards to clock 10.08 to crawfords 10.06. interestly borzov took the bronze with the exact same time at munich in 10.14. having said that williams who was hurt and did not compete was normally a slow starter out of the blocks, but i think he would have needed a good start if he was to beat crawford.

Healthy Williams would have beaten Crawford hands down. The other runners were probably thrilled Williams wasn't there.

Healthy, in shape and really pshyced up i think Williams could have gone 9,99.
To bad he often wasn't in best shape.... He could even, dueto inconsistent form, have have bin eliminated in the semi like Ridick...who knows ..
