I am waiting to see what Simpson does in the 200 to confirm... But I think that a line up of SAFP - SS - VCB - KS can beat anything the US puts on the track right now...

She ran 11.04 in the semi... with a horrible start. The weak part of her race has been her start all these championships. I'm pretty sure she won't be running lead-off for the Jam team anytime soon.
Kerron is in form... not at her best.... but she is definitely in form.

That form KS is in is not nearly good enough. They basically just replaced Myers with a faster T. Madison, Felix is way faster, and more rested, and Tarmoh is faster than Bianca Knight.
The HUGE loss of speed by KS make a bigger difference than the improvement of SAFP. We can say VCB is even with where she was last year (even though she is not), and Simpson has yet to show her form at these games.
Assuming everyone has good passes, the US will walk away from them like last year. Even if they bobble a little bit, they most likely will still win.

KS is in much better form than she was in last year and this is even taking into consideration that she made the finals last year and didn't this year. Same can be said about SAFP and as for VCB she is slightly down on where she was last year in terms of her 100m times leading up to the majors although her times this majors in the 100 is the best she has ever produced.
I think the major ish has been the line up.... And that has been fixed
All will be revealed in time though.... So good luck to your team!

HUH?
She ran a 10.87 last year. Her best this year is 10.94. And slower on the 200 as well.
someone tell me; is Felix going to run 4x1 only or can she be coaxed into the 4x4??? after seeing Richards and Trotter going sub 50 tonight I gotta think adding Felix to the 4x4 something being considered?

10.87 v 10.94....
That 10.87 was prior to her getting mid-season injury. It was also done with a +2.0w and in Eugene of all places... In a race where no one improved on their SB for that entire season (except Anderson who improved her SB by 0.01 after that race in Brazil).
Fast forward that same season Kerron was running 11.15 in the finals of the 100m in Daegu...
Taking a look at this season, Kerron has only ran below 11 seconds 2x's and seems consistently in 11.0x form at least in these Championships and that is mostly with her having no start to speak of. Kerron came into these Championships in MUCH better form and I am of the belief that her not running the 200 will work out in her favor seeing that she can focus solely on the 4x100 from this point onwards.

The only way Felix is not on that 4x400 is injury....

100m rounds 200m rounds 4x100m AND 4x400m
Is she gonna have anything left??
She did 400m rounds, 200m rounds, 4x100m and 4x400m last year..... Oh and she looks in much better form this year I dare say.... Once again the only thing keeps Felix off that 4x400 is injury...
I'm sure Felix will do all the events. Probably not the 4x100 and 4x400 semifinal rounds, but just the finals of each. She'll have plenty left in the tank. Choosing the 100 over the 400 this year saved some energy expenditure. Plus, I'm sure these professional athletes (and their coaches) properly prepare for a certain sequence of events, with an appropriate amount of endurance work. Look at what Phelps and Franklin did in swimming all those heats, semifinals, finals, and relays.

On the other hand, given Sanya's 22.09 PR (which may yet be faster by week's end), and the way she ran that first 100 of her 400, what are the chances that she'll be on the 4x100 squad for the final? I'm thinking she will lead off, with Tianna on the back straight, Allyson on the far curve and Carmelita on the final stretch. Jeneba Tarmoh is not going to be happy to sit out the final.

And once again, let us not forget Sanya, who might end up doing double duty in the relay finals as well. Tarmoh will sit out the 4x100 final.

As much as I'd love to see Sanya on that team, it's not going to happen. She's done none of the training required, it would be a huge risk in an event the US team have failed at ona number of times.

With Sanya, I don't think that would be much of a problem, because she would almost certainly be the leadoff leg, where she would only have to listen for the gun and pass the stick.

Felix has been has been a member of the USA womens' 4x400 each year since the 2007 WC, so I'm almost certain that she will be running in the final this year... Felix, SRR,Trotter, and Mccorory will run in the final..... 3:16 or faster!!!! That is my prediction...

Please don't even start. There is absolutely NO CHANCE.

Start what? They ran 3:17 with a 50.2 leg from the hurdler (Demus) in 2011, so why would a second improvement be far-fetched with at least 3- 49 second open 400 meter runners?
