Where the heck are the real-time field event results? I don't see anything over at the iaaf site. Is it somewhere on the london2012 site?

Anna Rüh is really tough, after knocking out Shanice Craft at the NC, competing at the EC, then winning the junior world title and she now even advances to the final even though she became 19 only in June!!! A young lady to look for in the future.
Otherwise a pretty unspectacular qualifying ...

Unspectacular? With top 6 beating the winning mark from the previous Olympics, and top 10 beating the best Q throw from Beijing?

I only had the advancing athletes in mind. As far as I understand the stadion is built for good wind conditions, Harting commented that they are excellent.

Gabriella, I know you are a real fan, so please tell me that you know that Yohan Blake was sanctioned ( and dozens others) for the same substance as Sandra Perkovic , the difference being that Sandra said "yes I had that drink with MHXNM so ban me", whereas the Jamaicans hush hushed it with warnings...So when Blake wins a medal will you use the same emoticon as for Perkovic ???

Is 69.11 one of the best Big Meet (OG/WC) throws of all time?

@ldnbloke I'm not a fan of anyone who has served a doping sanction for a banned substance.

And history has shown us that when athletes cheat, they dont just take one substance, they take a variety of substances. I guess some just get lucky and get caught on the minor ones.

I am not a fan of uneven fields and doping. My worry was that you won't use that emoticon fir media stars like SAFP and Blake but only for the awkward looking ( ala Michael Phelps/ Uan Thorpe/Kluft/Bolt) Croatian athlete.

It is one of the best but probably not in top 10. Bunch of 70-71m at OG/WC/EC
( gotta love the eighties :) )

I don't know that that's true. But bottom line, you carry personal vendettas against athletes because you are not satisfied with the punishments given out by the authorities. Isn't that it, bottom line? It's a personal grudge that you have?

So why don't you transfer that grudge to the authorities (the IAAF in particular) and stop griping about the athletes?

The rest of us see that, and you and a few others gain a reputation as whiners, so we pay less attention to what you have to say.

You know how I feel about drug cheats and obviously they tend to take a cocktail of stuff I couldn't care less about these silly stimulant +ives. In fact I just think a load of them should be taken off the list.

When they get done for steroids I'll treat like every other cheat but until then I love Sandy P.

This forum is about the competition at hand, nothing more, nothing less.

Raising of past drug issues will result in your being shown the door. End of story.
